The tides in the Bay of Fundy are quite dramatic. Here in Passamaquoddy Bay they average about 6.5 meters but can go as high as almost 8 meters on a full moon. On occasion, in combination with a storm surge, the tides have reached the top of the Market Wharf, not a scenario that any of the locals with residences of businesses on the waterfront find especially appealing. Here is a typical high and low tide to be seen at the Seaside Beach Resort.
