Hiking and Biking

* The Van Horne Trail, a renovated version of the old train track, which crosses Katy's Cove into the old O'Neill's farm.

* Minister's Island Trail System, ancient carriage roads dating from the time of Sir William Van Horne.

* Chamcook Mountain, an old carriage road leading to the top of the mount from Rossmount Inn. Please ask permission at the desk.

* The Chamcook Lake Trail, the old railway bed leading past Big and Little Chamcook Lakes to Limeburner Lake. Take Rankine Road past the Atlantic Salmon Federation and park at the dam.

* Simpson's Mountain. Route 127. Numerous paths snaking to the top of the hill overlooking St. Croix River.

* Taylor-Caughey Nature Preserve. A diverse set of trails on both sides of the 127 highway. Best is Sam-Orr's Pond trail, snaking around the pond and out to Berry's Point on Passamaquoddy Bay.
